this reminded me of the religious group in Cosmic Trigger III that had 23 suicides in canada and europe somewhere (forgive my lack of specifics; been ages since I read it!)

I doubt this 23 is something that would have interested Bob, since there were also 13 failed attempts, and that "chance" had more to do with the final 23 than any "conspiracy".
still, what do you think?

Re: 23
Sun, September 27, 2009 - 7:36 PMI don't think Bob would make a distinction etween a 23 of coincidence over "conspiracy"
certainly one with more clear weirdness and synchronicity would be of more interest than one with less..
By the way I want to introduce a friend to the idea of 23 synchronicity and how it is experienced by
focus and observation.
Is the best book to introduce this idea Cosmic Trigger 1 or another?
Thanks
Cheers

Thu, October 8, 2009 - 8:01 AMI think there's a good Burroughs article somewhere that gets into it as well. I want to say it's in that issue of Re/Search with him on the cover? I dunno, it's been years since I read it. Otherwise, yeah, I think CT1 works!
